Jazz Festival and more

Despite the forty percent chance of rain forecast, we had a beautiful sunny day all day - not a spot of rain today. We started the day at the National Art Museum to catch the "Jazz for Kids" performance as part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. There were tons of kids at the performance enjoying the music, which is pretty amazing. How often do you have a Jazz performance (and all free!) for kids?? These Danish kids are so lucky!

We had lunch at the Museum cafe. I had a chicken salad sandwich, which was good, but really big and really too much mayonnaise... The kids lunch, which was a fish cake and some fruit and some cucumber, was pretty good.

Mio is having so much fun having Estella.
Then we took a long walk to the Amalienborg Palace, the home for the Royal Danish family, walked to the harbor where we met up with Jonathan. We made our way to Nyhavn, and finished our day with our almost daily stop at a ice cream shop. I want to try some "licorice" ice cream during my stay here, and I had the opportunity today - they had licorice ice cream - but I didn't have the courage today. Maybe next time...

At the harbor. The Opera House in the background.

A happy kid with an ice cream. ;)
