After a fun six days in Copenhagen, Sheila, George and Estella went back to England yesterday. It was really great to have them, especially for Mio who were inseparable with Estella during their visit. Because she has very few friends to play with here in Denmark other than her little brother, she was so excited and beside herself, and it was so great to see her having such a great time playing with her.
And yesterday, we had to move to a new apartment once again. This is our THIRD apartment on this Denmark trip. We knew that we had to move again when we moved to our last place, but nonetheless, moving is a lot of hassle. And especially this time, we had to move from a ground floor apartment to a 4th floor apartment! Yikes! 70 steps to the apartment, which doesn't sound too bad when you write it, but it's tough when you have two small kids - although thankfully Mio has no problem going up and down the stairs. Yuto can go up and down by himself as well but it takes forever... And Jonathan did all the hard work moving - he must have made about fifteen trips going back and forth, up and down (and of course I kept remembering things that I forgot, so he had to make a few extra trips)... Thanks my dear!

So what is our new apartment like??
Well, here are my "likes" and "dislikes" of the apartment.
LIKES
- Washer and dryer in the apartment! (although the washer smells moldy, and I am trying to get rid of it!)
- We have a nice view - we overlook a beautiful square
- Much quieter as we are far above from the street (our last apartment was quite noisy...)
- Nice bathroom with a nice shower
- Warmer at night (I was cold in the last apartment)
- Bathroom in each bedroom (ours and kids')
- Gets a lot of light
- No one bothering us from upstairs as we are on the top floor
DISLIKES
- We are on the FOURTH floor! Stairs, stairs, stairs...
- Lower ceiling (we had a very high ceiling in the last place)
- The wood floor squeaks so loud with every step you take...
- Only once small couch (we had two very large ones)
- So easy to hit your head! (because we are on the top floor, the ceiling is slanted on both sides, and when you get too close to the edge without thinking, you will hit your head!)
- Not as nicely furnished
Even though I ended up listing more things on the "likes" list than the "dislike" list (to my surprise), all in all, WE MISS OUR OLD APARTMENT! It was just a nicer apartment in many ways. But we had to move because the school had to do some work on the apartment to reconfigure the rooms to accommodate more students, and there was nothing we could do. So like it or not, this will be our home for the rest of our stay here. And it's not so bad. Still much better than the place we stayed last summer. And I am sure we will soon all get used to the new place and find ourselves at home...
