Holiday in Copenhagen

It is still a weekday but Daddy doesn't have to go to work! Yes, we are now officially on a holiday in Copenhagen, as Jonathan is done with his work commitment. We got up in the morning, made some sandwiches for lunch, got on our bikes, and were on our way to the beach!

On the way, we stopped at our favorite bakery to get some yummy pastries for breakfast (on the road), and made another stop to get a sand toy set - one for each to avoid any conflict!

Happy kids with their new buckets and sand toys.
We went to the same beach we went last time, but because it was a weekday today, it was not at all crowded compared to the last time, which was on a weekend. The weather was so nice, not too hot but not cold either, and it didn't rain - it was just perfect. The kids were more used to the water and the sand than the last time, and we had a lot of fun. The water didn't feel warm enough (for us anyway) to swim in though. We only got our feet wet...

For dinner, we returned to the restaurant, Soren K, in the Black Diamond  to celebrate the completion and the success of Jonathan's urban design summer course. We were there about three weeks ago when Jonathan's family from England was here (here is the post from our last visit). The food was terrific as the last time, and the kids behaved well despite the no-nap situation, so we had quite an enjoyable experience, though we missed our friendly waiter we had last time.

And just like the last time, we took some "home-made" bread from the restaurant, and fed the ducks in the garden of the Royal Library on our way home (kids do not forget these things...). The ducks seemed very hungry, and I think they really appreciated the gourmet bread for dinner...

Mio said today was one of the best days we have had in Copenhagen. And she is quite right.
